Food Safety and the Holidays

Did you know that many foodborne illnesses begin in a home kitchen? With the rise in dinner parties and get-togethers this time of year it’s important to pay extra attention to food safety. Here are three easy tips to help prevent foodborne illness this holiday season! 1) Cook all meats to an internal temperature of 165°F. 2) Wash all produce before use. 3) Avoid cross-contamination! Cut vegetables and meats on separate cutting boards with different knives.
